The 2021 Ford Transit Connect is available in XL cargo/passenger, XLT cargo/passenger and Titanium trims. 2 engine offerings include a 2.0-liter inline-four engine that produces 162 hp and 144 lb-ft of torque. Or a 2.5 liter inline-four producing 169 hp and 171 lb-ft of torque.
The 2021 Ford Transit Connect Cargo Van has an optional AWD configuration as well. Available as a cargo van or passenger wagon you can order your Transit Connect with split rear doors (which open 180 degrees and will accept a 48-inch pallet) or an upward-rising liftgate.
It has a maximum payload capacity of 1510 pounds for both SWB and LWB models while both are able to tow a maximum of 2,000 pounds.
At its most basic, a Transit Connect XL cargo vans includes a 6-way manual adjust driver's seat, vinyl seats, a 4.2-inch infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and USB port. Base XL passenger models come with cloth interior and cruise control.
The base trim - XL cargo van features a 4.2-inch LCD multi-function display with steering wheel controls and four speakers in the front. Additional features to the XLT model includes a better infotainment system that's Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatible, has heated exterior mirrors, and in passenger models has dual-zone climate control a 6-way power seat. The total cargo volume in the LWB Transit Connect is rated at 127.4 cu-ft while it drops to 104.8 for the SWB model.
While XL and XLT wagon trims echo their cargo van counterparts, the top-level Titanium trim adds a considerable dose of luxury to the Transit Connect lineup. The Titanium edition's add leather upholstery, heated front seats, navigation, keyless entry with push-button start, power-folding side mirrors, and high-intensity headlights
All Transit Connect vans feature front and side airbags for the first row as well as side curtain airbags, anti-lock brakes, traction control and a tire pressure monitoring system, Blind-spot monitoring complemented by Rear Cross-Traffic alert and Adaptive cruise control / lane-keeping assist.
